National Dinosaur Museum
The National Dinosaur Museum is a fantastic day out for the little stomping dinosaurs. We loved the dinosaur garden with the 20 metre tall realistic and moving T-Rex and then headed across the road to The George Harcourt Inn which has a great kids menu and outdoor courtyard.
Established in 1993, the museum has grown from just a small collection to housing the largest permanent display of dinosaur and other prehistoric fossil material in Australia. Located in Gold Creek Village, the National Dinosaur Museum is now one of Canberra’s premier tourist attractions and offers an interactive insight into the earth’s long and dynamic history. The museum houses life-like dinosaur models, full skeletons, skulls, and robotic dinosaurs, and visitors can navigate through millions of years of earth’s ancient past.
Focusing on education and entertainment, the museum offers a wide variety of activities to schools and the general public. From guided tours of the museum to birthday parties for the kids, there is sure to be something to suit your needs.
